Thank you!

A huge thank you to all of our veterans! I'd like to especially thank those in our family that served and are still serving in our Armed Forces! Thank you to Welo, DrillSgt., tios, Junebug & Memo! We appreciate all that you have done for our country. This is a belated thank you because we spent Monday attending our local Veteran's Day Parade. This parade is THE BIGGEST in our community & it's jam packed with entries. After our local parade is the Band-o-rama where many of our local middle school & high school bands meet at the stadium to perform many of the patriotic songs together. It's a great thing to watch, a better thing to actually be a part of. Unfortunately, we still haven't been brave enough to take the girls. It's really an all day thing as many of the local high school also perform their half-time show. I was a band geek and really enjoyed being a part of the whole day, I will admit however it was very tiring.

Da'Gorgeouses really loved watching the parade. They did get a little tired towards the end. We arrived at 9:30 am and left about noon, the only thing we missed were all the baton twirlers that they put at the very end. I kept an eye on Da'Gorgeouses as they watched the parade and observed that LongRifle really enjoyed listening to the bands play as they marched by. She would perk up and clap her hands in rhythm to the music. Pistol loved the Shriner clowns on their little motorized vehicles and made sure to yell and clap when they came close. Overall, it was a wonderful day, warm and sunny and a great way to remember our soldiers past & present.
